About Us:

I just wanted to clear something up really quickly in case anyone is curious. You may notice the revolving banners I have on this site. I am not paid to put those up, honestly, I just like them so much and I can infinitely expand my collection. Cheers

I am not going to presume to speak for my colleagues here, but we are women who have opinions, and most of those opinions go out of the mainstream, or they go deeper than mainstream.  A good example of this, for my part in this new party, is superheroes, television, film, documentaries, true crime, books, podcasts, science and especially gender bias. I am a social justice warrior, and I rant a lot. There is a balance when it comes to our other contributors. WE are going to try to stay away from being a place to dump Trump news. When it comes to healthcare, women’s rights and Nazi’s well that’s a different story.

There is a balance when it comes to our other contributors who reporting on music, gaming, conventions, you name it! WE are going to try to stay away from being a place to dump Trump news. When it comes to healthcare, women’s rights and Nazi’s well that’s a different story.

I will let Dani (my co-editor in chief) write her biography when she can. Wren as well, (btw she is a prolific writer, and you should check out her Vivisecting Supernatural posts on the site that started this all www.GeekGirlsRising.Com)

All I know is that the goal is to be a multi-media platform to amplify women’s voices in a world that doesn’t want to hear them. You will get announcements of being guests on other podcasts and when everything gets set up for our very own. The plan is to have two podcasts a week, one on Geek News and the other about Women in Film and STEM. Dani will be heading up vlogging and of course posting here.

I am making a call out to anyone who wants to participate in this endeavor. We need contributors in all forms. We are not a money making site, yet, but it is a goal, and we do intend on paying our contributors when we can. So if you have ever even thought of doing something like this, please contact me using the form below.

For those that are following us from the former site to this new one, thank you for the support you have given over the last almost three years.
